Eel
- Eels stand for long fish like snake. By the scientific classification, it is in the class of eel. In Korea, there are only two types of eels. But only one of them can be used for food. In the wildlife, they live under warm water. They go down to the river for laying eggs. But as industrialization has been formed, rivers got polluted so people started to grow them. - What is Dosinia Japonica?
- Dosinia japonica is a clam which lives in Korea. There are two types of dosinia japonica; Meretrix lusoria and Meretrix petechialis.
- Inhabitation and Producing Center
- The coastline of the west coast has a lot of dosinia japonicas. A lot of dosinia japonicas are produced in Yeonggwang-gun. Until the late of 1970, the dosinia japonica producing areas were located in Yawol-ri Yeomsan-myeon. The numbers were amazing! Currently, they are not raised by people, but it has been harvested in Yeomsan and Baeksu areas for sale.
Crayfish
- It has been processed by using seafood caught in the coast so there are various kinds of crayfish. Its color is gray with a brown tail.The horn on its head is almost flt. And there are 7~8 horns at the top and 3~4 horns at the bottom. It is a big shrimp in its group, 270mm. It is a specialty of the Yellow Sea.
